Yep, i was doing my local one for John last year and it all came to an end in the summer. Your going to struggle doing them all in these valley towns, some can be remote and difficult to get to and with only a short 10min time window to get the insides done ::).......

"From our Head office in Glasgow we are able to offer national coverage and only use our own highly trained personnel to carry out a quality service"
WELL THATS LIE NUMBER 1 FROM HOME PAGE

Hi Dan
If that's what you are referring to, yes I agree, but from a marketing and sales perspective they wouldn't agree. Its the way you read it and understand it. To them, even a subcontractor working for them is employed by them to do the job. They would assume that they would only sub contract the work to a 'highly trained' person (personnel sounds more professional.)
Of course the expression "quality service" is a whole different "can of worms".
I'm pretty sure the window cleaner who cleans Greggs in Saltburn is the same person who cleans most of the other shop windows in the street. I can't imagine he would sub contract to anyone.

Hi Spruce
they say "our own highly trained personel" which denotes that the window cleaner is either
A:employed by them
B:trained by them
C:both of the above
Sub contractors are not part of their company and nor are they trained by them i very much doubt for the sake of a tenner a month.... :-\

The best packet of white babs for a £1 by far. Their apple pastries are good to, although they seem to be economising on the filling recently.

Well, it looks like they squeezed the bedroom tax though. ;) and of course there was the window tax many years ago we learnt in history classes.

ah the window tax, that is why there are so many bricked up windows on old georgian buildings in this country ;) funnily enough after the Bosnian wars they did the same, there was some cracking rebuilt houses after the shelling had stopped but certain windows are just covered in plastic to avoid paying tax ;)
