Sometimes it's more about the carpet type rather than the stain.

The make up never seams to be a problem but the dye and far tan are both products designed to make something of one colour a totally different colour..... Never an easy thing to reverse without specialist knowledge

Hair dye and fake tan are both designed to be permanent otherwise they would rub off on everything else.

Wool mix carpet contain substances ( keratin etc) which is similar to skin and hair. Makes some impossible to remove- the rest may come out with some of the more advanced black magic but often not.

I always think anyone careless enough to get it all over the place deserves it. ;D

I have had good results with fake tan using Dye Gone but you need to price accordingly as I used a full bottle but I made the customer aware before I started, make up white spirit normally does the trick and hair dye only had it once but it came straight out as it was still damp

Fake tan and hair dye are permenate i'm afraid.

There is a brand of fake tan that comes in a spray bottle. People can spray it on thier bodies rather than the more heavy duty stuff that you pour on a mitt. The spray stuff seems to come out real easy. Had it a few times and it was always a synthetic carpet.

Other types of make up are straight forward with citrus gel.

It's only the Geordie Shore boys who wear make up :P

I wish I'd taken a picture of the fake tan I removed on Tuesday couldn't get it out the last time but used Dye Gone this time customer left me to it while she saw to her horses then couldn't believe I managed to get it out this time. This is the stuff you use on a mitt.

I sat and watched part of that rubbish with my daughter the other night. When it showed you the lad weightlifting wearing a face mask I blew my top. I warned her that if she ever had a boyfriend or husband who used face masks I'd knock him straight out.
What the hell has happened to the young men of today, bunch of puffs most of them.
