My first impression is boring and uninteresting.
Its not personal enough, you need pictures of you and vehicles etc and a bit more going on.
Its probably been done from a template which gives it that generic look, like any other website.
IMHO it needs to be completely different and look like your local so people feel instantly confident to phone you.

Looks fine but no real improvement on your current one ........ looks harder to navigate, in fact ???
-
Plus you'll have to re do all your advertising material
with the new web address.
All previous customers won't know where you are if
they look for your website.
Unless you keep your old one going of course.

Well you did ask ;D
-
Cheers guys maybe person doesbt do many site I will give him some of your ideas etc
-
It looks like a Photoshop or Fireworks mock up.
I know I keep banging on about this but large scale Ad Agency tests have shown that white text on a dark background HALVES readership. Why don't designers take note?

Yeah thats not a good first attempt at all Andy.
From looking at the site it doesn't even mention what area you cover! :(
Your best bet would be to find a carpet cleaning site that you like (not in your area of course) and ask the web guy if he can make one similar but with your words and pics.

Andy
Although I don’t have a site as yet !!!! as carpet dawg says nick it, chris S ant got a bad one and he is miles from you
Oh I give you know what about plagiarism but don’t use my pictures ;)
-
went back to designer and showed him websites i need it tolook like and price jumped from £175 to £298 to me thats alot of money and not sure a website would pay for its self no guantees they work for us maybe they help
-
Andy
Welcome too the world of carpet cleaning or should I say web design ??? ;D ;)
-
Andy £298 sounds too cheap or its got o seo
Watch you don't end up wasting your money
-
Try Mark at DP print and design
-
I would consider replicating mine, as a compliment ........ just be aware that copying word for word, will do you no favours with search engines !!
I am certain they will recognise the established text and not the copy ....... layout, design and ideas are fine ...... fill your boots.

What he's asking isn't a lot of money. A sign written van will cost you that. More importantly he's not worth the money. Get someone who is recommended on here like Kev Loomes or Doug.
Keep you old thing going and get some work done to bring your new one up the rankings.

Mark Roberts in Devon did my strakercleaning.co.uk & Mark at DP (carpetcleaningwebsites.co.uk) did my strakereco one ........ both rank well, each cost around £250 - £300 and supply all my new work, that are not referralls !!
-
oh superb ok
-
Getting it onpaged "seo'ed" isnt that much extra work (its pretty basic stuff, its not a good idea to go over the top!!).
Its the stuff you do offline that takes alot of time and effort. Not many webdesigners offer this as its an on going thing and can be expensive with no garantees.
Some areas are easier to rank for than others....
£300 for design alone (for a carpet cleaning website) sounds very good for an original.
