Title: Oven Steam cleaners
Post by: Gavin Lewis on December 19, 2012, 01:13:15 am
From what I can tell there are 2 types of professional oven cleaners out there, those that use chemicals and a dip tank and those that use steam clean machines?

Are there any other methods youve heard of?

Also what would be the best steam cleaner to use/buy, I'm thinking of offering both services, just to see which is more cost effective and produces the better clean, any help appreciated

Hi Gavin

Whatever about using chemicals and a dip tank, steam cleaners just create a mess as they blow the grease everywhere and are not very effective at removal of baked on carbon, you will get a better result with a stainless steel scourer and water.
some of the guys might not agree with this but just giving you my experience as we have been cleaning ovens since 1982.

Kind regards
