If anyone is going to give a tip they will , at the end of the day you are there to do the work for price that was agreed , it sounds like you are expecting to be tipped .

Being tipped is just a bound, if I get one I'm happy, if I don't I'm still happy. You don't tip the check out girl at tescos! Lol

It's not always about getting money; it's nice to be appreciated.
A card or a few words means something, as well.

thats true griffin,it really puts a spring in your step when someone tells you that you do a great job, and if their telling you they are probably telling other people too and you can,t buy that...

Got a bottle of wine yesterday from a second clean. I couldn't believe it. People just don't have the money for tips at the moment. I am happy for a cuppa tea, maybe a buscuit and a smile, that'll do me.  ;D

I am grateful to have the work and to be paid the asking rate for it. Anything extra is a bonus, and whilst always very much appreciated, is never taken for granted or expected.

I have a few who always give something at xmas, booze chocs etc. or a few quid extra.
To be honest, I've always felt a bit guilty at not even having a card for them.
With this in mind I made a few of my own calenders this year, they fit in a cd jewel case that flips over to make a stand on a desktop. Always have one in my pocket when I knock, if I'm tipped they get a gift !
But agreed, its not to be expected, but a nice bonus when it is.
