Title: Radiator spillage
Post by: james roffey on December 17, 2012, 06:17:01 pm
Have a spill from a radiator to deal with in the morning customer says it's a water mark that looks black so sounds like it may be the inhibitor stuff that leaked out, i checked on the search facility and was amazed that not one example appeared, strange as i have another to deal with on Wednesday.
What's best for this type of spillage i also checked my Prochem  stain remover book and nothing in that either.

Had this a lot and found that this will often come out during your regular clean, for me this tends to be prochem pure-clean.

If only spot cleaning required, or maybe on more stubborn I have never needed more than Stain-Pro and / or Neutral Pro-Spotter. For spot cleaning you may get away with just blotting with Stain-Pro and / or Neutral Pro-Spotter, worth a try before carting your gear in.

I always carry rust remover just in case but to date have never needed it on such a spill.

James I usualy find rust remover does the trick, and not normaly much of a problem, but as you say there could be additives in the system ,again the rust remover should cope with this ok. Flush out well and wear protective gloves, not nice stuff.

Good

What kinda carpet was it?

I had one on a wool berber once, nothing touched it. I didn't charge for it, think the lady claimed on her insurance in the end.
