if you got enough work and want to speed things up then great but on domestics probably get in each others way put big comms then great.

i take my son out when im busy. i can easily slip an extra job or 2 in  . only thing i would say is if there's 2 of u is to have a routine and it works great . make things much quicker  :)

William

I've worked as a two man team for quite a few years-it's the only way of fitting in all the work generated. :) :)

(That or I can finish the day's work in half the time-depending upon how you want to look at it.)

Working in domestic situations presents no problems-we each know each other's duties and can totally inter-change as required. Some clients do comment on the speed ( we have a "routine" for dealing with that as well) but most are simply grateful that you have kept the inconvenience to them down to a minimum.

It's nice to have company when driving between jobs and looking back I realised in my early years just how lonely this type of career can be when you have nobody to talk to about problems.

We also find that simply having a colleage means we can gee each other up which is especially useful when you arrive at your last job of the day-after a really long day already-and you find the EOT is a complete tip-and there;'s lots of fiddly stains-and you find a piece of equipment is not working properly (you get the picture).

I've worked as a 2 man team for the last 6yrs, you are not twice as quick more like 30% quicker. It does have some benifits.

because sometimes the second person has nothing to do he tends  to do all the little things that is sometimes forgotten when you work by your self.... Eg... He always puts out the next for nieghbours cards,  he chats withe the customer about other services we offer.

A sneaky thing he does is wait until the client is watching and then ask  "shall I get the protector ready". Even if we are not protecting the job, just to get the customer to ask..... do we need it?

I to have worked as a two man team for the last seven years, but now am back on my own again yes I can't get through as much work, probably in the region of 20% less, but as Shaun says there is no wages to pay that second person.
I have a love of classic cars, probably one of the best investments in the present financial climate, by not employing a second person even with a 20% reduction in work means I can afford to invest in one reasonably priced classic car every year, even after paying storage and maintenance will more than make up for the fact I have to work on my own, so I will continue humming my tunes while driving, talking to myself on a regular basis ,and looking forward to my monthly bank statements.   ;D

Disagree with most of above. We work as a 2 man team 90% of the time, and reckon we are twice as fast as a 1 man team doing the same work.

Depends what sort of work - we're nearly all domestics, and we move (& so coaster up) all the furniture, and we always pre-vacc.

spoken like a true Yorkshireman........  ;D

Now about the current Mrs A.... On 23rd phone the bank and report all bank and credit cards lost or stolen...

She will have no way of getting any money or spending any until the banks sort it out.... probably sometime in the new year...  ;D

I have a 3 floor 60 bed care home to quote at 10am, really think it may just be too big for me to manage, depending on their time frame
