My flaming RO pump has packed in on me.
I was just wandering before I throw it away if any one knows of any tests or checks I could do on it.
There was no odd noises,no smell of burning or any smoke.
It is a Flojet (I think as it came without a label).
Before anyone asks yes the guarantee has run out.

Is there an in line fuse that's blown?
-
:)i was just going to say that malc beaten to the draw :)

What has happen to me in the past with flow jet is the Diafram packed up, can be changed, But I think its best to replace,
Also if its a flow jet working from a transformer has the trans former stopped working
-
Hiya, if you decide to replace, I've just bought one for £85.00 from RO-MAN, I can reccommend it as it gets to approx 140 PSI and really boosts your output.

http://www.williamsonpumps.co.uk
There ya go.
They dont put prices on the site though so you will have to email or call them.
We can do good prices on the pumps we buy from them coz we buy so many of them.
We sell loads of the SHURflo 8000-441-138 PUMP (100psi)
Its the only one specifically designed for WFP.
Cheers

The 8000 series are superb pumps (either 6 or 4 ltr/min) although they were primarily designed to be used with a Varistream - I'm sure Andrew will keep you right or ring Dominic at WilliamsonPumps 0845 226 3638 or you can give me a shout

Thanks Andrew and JM123. Andrew how much do you charge for the 100psi shurflo and battery as we thinking about making some changes to our system.
ps will the shurflo work directly off a regular car battery?

Hi Michael.
You would get a better price for a battery local to you. We only sell the sealed for life leisure batteries. You could get a non sealed for life one much cheaper and if it's to be used in a van it would be fine as long as it is secured well.
Have you got a Varistream Micheal? If not.. get one mate. Of all the pieces of kit that you can use on a WFP system this is the No1 most usefull/important add on you can have. I dont really know too much about batteries but from what I have gleaned around here a car/van battery isnt very good for running a pump off. They very soon drain I believe. Although I can check with my "techies" tomorrow for you.

Andrew by varistream do you mean a type of pump? A lot of this stuff is new to me as you probably know.

Here you go Micheal
Look here http://www.williamsonpumps.co.uk/VARISTREAM.html
We fit one to every system we sell as standard. They are very good at what they do and make life much easier for us WFPers.
We do a package deal on this and the pump.
Let me know if you would like details. purefreedom@btinternet.com
