I have had dealings with one or 2 and they will try and squeeze you to work for nothing.
Maybe thesr will be different but the ones i spoke to wanted to pay nothing si i told them i wasn't interested in doing any work for them.

Great advice. Glad I don't do any of that work now as I like the easy stuff, but there is money to be made in volume of work. Don't expect any loyalty though. Companies drop you for a few pence less to the next bidder.

Been used and abused by a few contract cleaning companies now, won't be doing it again in a hurry, and insisting on payment up front.

Sub contracting can become messy in my experience.

Approach with caution.

50 percent of my commercial, comes from subbing off cleaning companies. I price as i would it being my own work and still normally get the job unless its a crapper where i gamble in with a sky high quote and even then some get accepted. Through cleaning companies i have a commercial to do every morning bar a few ranging from £50-300 sadly mainly builders cleans but still well worth while. I have only chased commercial over the last 6 months and has defo been worth it and all through localish cleaning companies subbing it to me.

All it takes is a lucky phonecall to a cleaning company who have recently won a good contract, i dont bother with email ping pong and letters, i just phone and get to the point.
Richy another great way to add to your existing business isto go round every single road you have customers in and jot down in a notebook every for sale and sold board house you see, it will start off slow but each month go round again and see if the sold sign comes down which is when you pounce to get them as a customer. I find no one buys a house for £200k+ and doesnt want there windows spick and spam as new owners to show off to there friends and family. Also play the game with the for sale boards each month lookout for them to swap to sold.
Doing this alone will get you much more solid customers than normal canvassing and also the bonus of making your round even more compact. I get 5-20 a month from doing this method, my book has over 1000 for sale houses and about 200 sold.
Play it like a game and play to win.

No probs, do an update how you get on. I dont record mine as such any more but i get a lot more yes than no doing it this way.
It took 3 months for it to proper start bringing the work in but over the last year i have made my rounds so much more compact which earns more a day Wether its adding an extra 1 house to a road or 5. its a potential extra £50-£100 a day for a year of simply fitting the pieces together with the sale/sold game. It works for me anyway.
Good luck.

have you not thought about approaching estate agents when they have a sale go thru or is this breach of customer confidentiality

I have thought about it but to be honest its so easy to do it this way and also ill notice if anymore go up for sale to add to the book. Might be worth asking where ou are but round my way there are so many estate agents, and my list is so big it would over complicate my easy system.

Big thing i have found with experience is, you can do the best job in the world, but if they are not getting paid = neither are you !!!!

Not all are like this, but i have found afew that are..

I got paid in the end, but had to resort to another approach  ;)
