Just wondering if anyone can help?
I've a rather large cc job to do for a customer and she's asked if i could clean the grout lines only in her kitchen.I've not done much of this work and wondered, a;what's the best product to use and will it damage the tile(black slate type, that's what she told me), b; is it normal practice to JUST clean the grout lines, how do you price for it ? ???
Thanks in advance

It is hard work just trying to clean the grout lines a bit like trying to wash a car without getting the windows wet. Your customer is probably looking at the dark floor and only seeing dirt in the grout lines because the dirt is not so visible on the tiles.
My approach would be to:
1. Pre wet the floor
2. Apply a diluted High Alkaline Cleaner such as Aqua Mix Heavy Duty Tile & Grout Cleaner
3. Allow to dwell
4. Scrub with a slow speed rotary fitted with a soft to medium brush
5. Vac up
6. Then rinse and vac again
You may need to boost the cleaner with a medium grit Honing Powder (320 Grit) after step 3 if the grout is particularly bad.
Good Luck
