Hi fellow cc
Just trying to understand why it's so quiet at the moment. Have a few jobs booked in next week but that's it. anybody else experiencing the same just wondering if it's quiet across the board doing more ovens than anything at the moment and I hate ovens!

think i seen you on the motorway a few days ago darren. going north. you drove past and looked i think it was you.
sorry dint wave, you'd gone past before i realised.

Its probably because know one wants carpets cleaning once the Xmas tree is up.
And seeing as the world and his wife now seem to put them up in November...............
-
Perhaps they are all doing the Christmas shopping etc.
Then in about 10 sdays time, thinking their carpets/upholstery look a bit tatty, and with the family all coming over, they will call wanting them cleaned before Christmas.
It's either that, or your advertising is hopeless! ;D

Most trees will be going up this weekend, so when they start moving furniture about they will see the the clean bits.
Monday morning the phones will be red hot, well i think so anyway, saying that only got a couple of slots left, but the week after not a single job as yet.
-
Mad this week and mad next week, thank god the phone has slowed to day.

Very quiet, need to diversify me thinks and rethink the whole CC thing.

4/5 jobs a day! I can't imaging ever fitting more than 3 small jobs into one day, and I'm usually knac**ered after 2 (and it takes all day anyway). How long is your working day?

I have a lad working for me David on the carpet/upholstery cleaning side of things.I offer other services, but carpet cleaning is still about 70% of my work. He can manage 3 jobs a day easy and he's good, the first job is always at 9am and he is home by 4.30pm most days, the hardest part is trying to get a full days work in the same area, this makes it a lot easier to get at least 3 jobs a day done.He gets p***ed off if i give him 4 or 5 jobs ;D , so i give him a hand on busy days, but i spend most of my time trying to get commercial carpet cleaning work in, as i find these jobs are the best margins out of all the services i offer.

Thanks for that info. I need to prove my business model for at least 1 year before I think about employing someone else. Several others on here have stated how much more efficient you can operate with an assistant. I could do with some casual help with my bigger jobs at times though.
I've not cracked the commercial market yet, but I'm working on it.
