Title: bogus advertiser
Post by: santino on December 06, 2012, 04:00:26 pm: Has anyone dealt with a company advertising to the police? Think they're called mode pr or something like that? Keep ringing me saying I agreed to help them out by advertising, Which I didn't?

Any thoughts?

They sent me letters threatening court action, never happened .

Just ignore them .

Post by: DaveG on December 06, 2012, 05:06:04 pm: These monkeys called me on a withheld number and after the scouse git waffled on for a couple of minutes, I told him I wasn't interested.. After another couples of minutes I was a "bit rude to him" and hung up.

Within 2 minutes he rang me back saying "I can come down there" and "I know where you live etc"

All he wanted was my bank details!!!

Post by: keyser soze on December 06, 2012, 05:29:30 pm: do not pay whatever they threaten you with ..... tried it on with me i told them to do one . not heard anything for months ... all i said was i was innterested next thing i got a magazine with an advert in it posted through my door ... i never agreed to anything ... been trying to get me to pay for a while ... when i said im not paying they got a bit grumpy ... its a con. i told them its a con. i checked them out on the web loads on there to look at'........ most of all dont worry they never go to court because they will always lose

All I wanted were your card numbers and PIN. You didn't have to get stroppy. ???
