Title: Telescopic ladders
Post by: Avo on December 05, 2012, 09:13:14 pm
Been thinking of buying a set of telescopic ladders for a few weeks now, can anyone recommend the best buys?? They seem to have a wide price range but what's the benefit to pro version ladders at £199 and a set of £59.99

I use the little giant pro ( look on u tube )
I wouldnt be without mine now, had it about 18 months use it all the time for garage roof access, con roof cleans stradling gates etc.
It is exspensive at £200 but its easy to use & stable, alot better than the tele ladders on ebay.

I bought a set frm eBay for 60£ they do for hopping over gates etc as mentioned. Would not be suitable for first floor windows as slightly too short. Quite bendy as well.

i have been thinking about getting a set, but how stable are these when on full extension? ive seen youtube videos showing that they kick out at the bottom when you go high enough on them?

If its the u tube video im thinking of, theve got the ladder extended 2-3ft above a gutter so the bottom would kick out.
Like i said ive had mine 18 months with no issues

Try the multi purpose ladder 4.6 m.
Great for getting over gates up to 7 ft high.
Garrage roof access and so on.
Look at    Multi purpose ladder 2
on youtube

I use this one like little giant and does the same job. I find it very good to clean inside connies as its very stable, climbing over gates etc.

Say for extending for flat roof access is of these faster than unclamping ladder from large van as now I have a trafic it seems to take ages to get mine down.
