Title: If you are using a gas heater...
Post by: jarvy on December 05, 2012, 04:29:48 pm
...do you find the gas bottle gets freezing cold and slows the gas output? Finding mine is reduced to a tiny flame and water luke warm at best after using it for a bit. Back doors are open which i know doesn't help in this weather. Thought at 1st gas had run out but after taking the bottle off found it is nearly full, just cold.
Would wrapping something around the bottle work,or would it just keep the cold in? I understand that the bottle gets colder as being used, would wrapping it up make it worse?

It might if you're not using propane. What colour bottle are you using?

You need the Orange bottle , not the blue

the blue doesnt work effectively in the cold ...needs to be the orange (propane)

Can't remember if they use the same regulator or not - better check?

Different regulator. The thread is the opposite direction.
