I just want to repair mobile phones!!!...been thinking about this for a while now!!!

Yes, once you cordon off the area and have the relevant  risk assessment and method statement in place, have deployed your ladder stabilization device etc, you should be ok.

Yes, once you cordon off the area and have the relevant  risk assessment and method statement in place, have deployed your ladder stabilization device etc, you should be ok.
How far do you need to cordon ?

Well, that's where your risk assessment comes into play. Being a lowly windy who doesn't have an nvq I couldn't possibly comment on specific distances. However I hear if you do the nvq you can pretty much comment on anything and be right. A bit like that papal infallibility thing the Catholics have.
