The poor guy lost his car and some pressies, losing his window cleaner as well may tip him over the edge!
Seriously, though, terrible thing to happen. Hope he is OK and gets through this ordeal.

Yeah, they smashed his back patio door. He grabbed his baseball bat and came down to find 3 guys screaming that they were going to shoot him. He told them where they keys were, they still couldn't find them and screamed some more. Eventually they made off with the spare keys and rolled the audi a few miles away. A woman and baby was up in the house the smashed into, luckily at the back of the room.
I recon they wre out of there heads, some controlled drug found on the driver of the crashed car.

No, true. Otherwise the plod will start to see me as a link. Another of my custies had something similar, although less voilent, happen earlier this year.

Are the Police now not allowed to chase people ?

The audi rolled and smashed into a house though. It's probably to see if the police followed procedure.
Back in Ireland when I was growing up the police used to try and get along side the stolen car. If they did the passenger cop would smash a brick through the windscreen of the stolen car so they couldn't see out. Things have changed a bit in the last 20 years.

Many moons ago, snowy day in December I turned up at a house to clean the windows, was shocked to see tons of police there who turned me away. I was worried, cos I liked the people. Luckily it was White House farm, Rettendon, Essex and the farmer had found 3 dead drug dealers on his land!!

Went past one of my customers houses today. Due to do them on Thursday this week. Five police vans, a dog unit outside and a helicopter overhead? God knows what's happened there.
