I think what puts most customers off wfp is leaving the windows wet, leaving loads of water down the wall and on the floor etc. ::) Some are ok ::
There are 2 of us when im wfp the other one standing around waiting for top windows to stop dripping, also i can only take a certain amount of water with me as i am working out of an estate car. would it be viable if i wfp the top windows brushing with very little water and my helper was to have a unger pole and blade them off, we would not use so much water through the day. Do you still think i would still get good results, this way i could get more done in a day.
He would not be stood round waiting for the drips to stop :D
thanks in advance 8)

Hiya brett.
In a word.. no :(
Been there and done it.
As you know there are 3 on my team. All work independently. its FAR more productive. I have tried it all. One experiment was 2 teamed up like it sounds you are and the other on his own. We did this for a week on very similar work. The results speak for themselves. The guy on his own did over 80% of what the 2 man team did. So.. we swapped team members sound just in case it was a fluke. Same result.. Kind of speaks for itself really.
And...NO.. I am NOT trying to sell you another trolley mate ;D
Cheers

Brett,
I work with Wor Lass who does the bottoms traditionally and I WFP 'tops'.
I asked a similar question about working in pairs, with one half using a WFP some months back and was given some good advice (compliments of Steve K).
You have to think where you're starting point is going to be. For example if you do ten houses in one street, and one of them has a conservatory; start there.
Doing the tops generally won't affect the conservatory, which your mate can work on. As soon as you're done, go to the next house.
Hopefully by the time your mate has finished the first house, the drips will have stopped on the second.
Just stay ahead of him; which is no problem with a WFP versus a squeegie.
Sometimes I'm five houses ahead of Wor Lass and use radios to stay in contact (it makes her feel safer having them and I can find out where she is).
Another tip, when doing a load of houses in a street, is to spend five minutes depositing water barrels at strategic points (say one barrel for every four houses) before you start.
That way you don't even have to go back to your vehicle for more water.
Get your mate to pick the empty water barrels up as he follows you and deposit them in a centralised area for collection.
It's the small stuff that speeds you up.

Hi P & F
I put my water in 25ltr barrrels, i take about 7 or 8 with me but i dont thinki ts enough but i dont want to overload the car.
I would ideally like a transit van or something like that, but we'll save up for an escort van
Brett
Hi Tosh
Im doing most of the things that you suggested already, i like the idea about dropping the barrels off but as for my mate picking the empties up i think hes only got one hand because his other one is always in his pocket. ;D
Its just a matter of making the water go further i think its just a matter of getting those first cleans out of the way
What car or van do you use and how many 25ltr barrels do you take with you ?
regards
Brett

I take 125 liters and this does me fine for five hours work; tops only.
If I need anymore water, I pick it up when I drop Wor Lass off (she only works till 2 or 3pm at the latest).
What's your flow rate like?
Are these first WFP cleans?

Im on my 3rd clean and im finding it a lot easier and quicker to do, when using the freedom trolley i put it on the hafl way mark approx.
When using my backpack i have it on number 2
The work i have in mind to change over to wfp has quite large windows just worried i not have enough water, i'll post some pics when i have time
