Title: Painting Price.....
Post by: Paul Clapham on November 29, 2012, 12:27:24 pm
Hi , I have been asked by a customer to give her a price for painting a one bed flat she is renting out early next year , I have know idea how much is "the going rate" for painting , anybody any idea ?

For my carpet cleaning I tend to price from £35 / £55 per hour, and I know how long a job will take, but I don't really want to "undercharge" for my time as she may think the carpet cleaning rate is far to much.

Cheers

Paul.

I think Martin 606 offers a painting service to his client

IMO .....If you are doing the work in jan then quote £400 for labour and do it over 2 days

i am a time served decorator and currently work it alongside my carpet cleaning. depending on the client and where they live i charge between £120 and £150 a day (thats why i like carpet cleaning better) though i dont tell the client that i just work out how long its going to take me and base my quote on these prices. plus materials of course.

my son in law is a time served painter and decorator, he charges around £25 per hr depending on the job, and charges £18 per hour for the 2 men he employs,
