Title: What to expect on City & Guilds course?
Post by: Jack Harris on November 28, 2012, 11:33:27 pm
Recently booked my place on the course for the 4th of December in Birmingham with Impact43 & was just wondering what kind of things you do and is it worth my while?

Day four is particularly good. You get trained to turn a vacuuum cleaner on  ;)

I can't for the life of me see how they've managed to spin that lot out over four days and then have the nerve to charge £100 more for ladder training  ???

If the important health and safety bits were put into one day then I would consider attending but there appears to be too much padding stuffed into that for me.

Maybe there is a HSE course elsewhere for the experienced cleaner? Anyone know?

Dave why don't you call them and ask if they do a h&s course only?

For the nvq there is no possible way you could do it in a day the paperwork for it takes longer than a day to complete alone

the paperwork takes 4 days as most people know window cleaners are thick and cant read and write properly and everything needs to be proof read by a normal respectable member of the public. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

That's interesting. I'm going to book the wife on it.

Wouldn't it be easier to do the majority of the classwork/paperwork online. . . .  then just have a day practical ?

doing things online and in a class room environment are totally different. I totally see where your coming from as a lot of the things I do are online. I wouldnt know if some of it can go online or even if nvq people would allow it.

it would make it alot easier but would it have the same impact
