I have 100m of minibore on a Pure zfreedom reel. I only fully unreel it at two sites and that is handy, but that much hose has two drawbacks. One is weight, but also it is a lot of hose for the reel and it can be tricky to reel in/out if it isn't carefully managed.
What do others have ready to pull off their reel?

one got the usual metal reel that i barely use any more because its too heavy i just use 60 meters on a cheap plastic hose reel and when it breaks i will just replace it. ive had it about 2 years and still still going! its so much lighter

Hmmm. What do you do, just keep 40m looped? I guess you use microbre as 40m of minibore would be hard to manage.

Hi Steve
I have mine split 70 /30.
30 metres with connectors to extend ready to go coiled up behind the passenger seat.
Never had to use it yet though.

1 reel with 100metres and other with just enought to get round back of most properties.
What I do is park van right by houses getting worked on so 2 or 3 at a time and sent Joe to the far away ones with the 100metre reel.
I do my houses, write slips, post envelopes etc and by time done that Joe has reeled the 2 reels in and away we go to next jobs ... works like a well oiled machine. :D

50m of pure freedom's 8mm yellow hose with 50m of Aquadaptor red pole hose added to the end of it. Thought I'd try it.

Funny you should say that. I have done three half marathons this year, but have been unable to shift what I consider to be the last stone in weight, but both my daughters have been doing Slimming World and my downfall is bread I realised. I all but lived on it as it is such a quick fix, but now for the last few weeks I have not had more than two slices a day and I've lost 1/2 stone.
Back to reels though, I thought about buying a second reel. I also like the idea of cutting it and keeping the other half, but I reckon minibore will be unmanageable off a reel. You'll need a bigger van though as you wouldn't have space to cram a second reel.
Did you get that job with the awkward conservatory up at Wash Common? I didn't quote as I didn't fancy it, but I said I reckoned that Cliff being a "young gun" might. But it looked a right ball ache to get at and I didn't reckon I could do a good enough job on it. She said you were going in to quote. I meant to phone you about it.
