No Lewis i had a hard floor to do in StAsaph but the flooding has caused problems in the area so i have postponed it for now. Out at 7 am there tomorrow as the water has now lowered enough for us to start work on some of the properties.

I expect the phone to be busy tomorrow  ;D

Sorry to watch the flooding in the UK on the TV over the last few nights.

It's one of those things where regular customers will ring you but most other people will ring the insurance company.

We've had one major flood this year and we were up the walls sucking water out and cleaning hard flooring after the event. It's lucrative work but in a domestic situation you meet people in the worst of conditions, unsure what to do, where to go..... At least in commercial premises the staff go home at the end of the day.

The smell is the worst thing and probably the hardest part to deal with (especially river/sewer flooding - burst pipe can be OK if you get there soon enough).

St Asaph looks terrible on the news. How far is that from you, Paul?

You'll be floating back up towards the Mersey by the weekend at this rate!

Its 3 or 4 minutes drive. So right on. My door step. The guys that came down and stayed in table table at the begining of the year will know the place as thats seconds up the road. The whole hotel and restaurant and KFC is all flooded out there.

I have done the odd blog post about flooding and what to do and why. Have been doing some jobs and they tell me they have been online searching what to do in that situation. You also need to talk about your local area too.

Did a similar thing about frozen pipes bursting and that got loads of calls.
