That's dangerous. It's quite a long fall from those penny farthings.

LDV pilot as above, finally learnt my lesson.
and bought a Fiat Scudo, excellent van
-
Starting off:-
In 1997 I used the family car - a 1986 Volvo 240 Estate 2.3 petrol.
Then a 1991 Honda Accord Aerodeck Estate 2.2 petrol auto - had aircon and cruise control and drank fuel like a drinky thing from drinksland.
Followed by:-
2006 Doblo 1.3 diesel van with a 400L tank
which then had a trailer with 200L added when Dan the Man joined me.
(and now which Dan the Man gets the use of and is a second van for heavy
days, gutter vacuuming and trailer pulling and which has a 200L wfp tank.)
Now the main vehicle is a Hyundai iload bought earlier this year.

Yes, but the ladder was very handy for getting on and off ;D
And there were thousands of terrace houses in those days - all built straight on the street with no front garden - I could just ride along, stop at every customer (and I had nearly all the houses in any row) lean against the wall and clean the upstairs window while I was still sitting comfortably on my specially upholstered saddle ;D
-
old l reg 1.6 petrol Astra van, i use to love that old van it took me to work and fishing in France three times a year, was brilliant on fuel and reliable sold it with 72k on clock should have kept it for fishing wagon
