I always use a drop of pine disifectant in the bottom of my TM waste tank at the end of each day keeps it keep's it clean, stops sediment buiding up and it smells of the rolling hills of the french alps, "no it does"  ::)

I normally mist some enzyme around the sides and base at the end of the day,
otherwise the customer the next morning is not impressed when you fill her house with a sewer smell :-X   But you can't beat regular maintenance, at the end of every job, instead of using the vac tube to suck out the clean tank  (not good to put steam through vacs anyway ) put a open ended hose onto your pump outlet connector and use the hot solution to rinse out the ball cage and the waste tank.

Then a few drops of florazil in the tank to earn some brownie points 8)

A little spray of solubac keeps the waste tank from smelling unpleasant 8) or host smoke x

hi countryfresh,

could you explain that, 'put an open ended hose on to the pump out let connector'?  thats a male quick release connecter on mine,   how can you empty the clean tank with sucking it out with a hose?

sorry if im being thick i just cant see what your saying there..

Craig,

As the man said, use a short piece of pressure hose connected to your pump outlet, but without a female connector on the end.  Then use the remaining water in the clean water tank to rinse out the waste tank.

Kills two birds with one stone !

Hi ALL

The best way to stop this smell is to never leave the waste door etc etc  close (when not working of course) this keeps the airfowing and a little sray of SolBac will help to

Hope this helps Regards Gavin
