I have brought this forward from another post as it is relevant to all of us, especially seeing the amount of calls for help posted on here.
It has been done and posted on YouTube by Brodex. Whilst it focuses on their product range, the diagnostic principles and processes apply to each of our systems.
Replacing a controller. Whilst this applies to the Brodex controller, most of ours will just be direct swop, old for new.

How to identify whether it's a pump or controller failure,

Hi Spruce, thanks for the links. Good for trouble shooting when you are first starting. Nothing new for me personally.
On the battery front I realize that it didn't work for you personally but I would really urge people to keep things simple and just run off the van battery if you can.
I sold the old Berlingo and now running a 2007 Dispatch and again just from the van battery. Still no problems whatsoever. Only single pump setup, but worth exploring at the very least. Leisure batteries, split chargers etc, they all add to things that can go wrong in my opinion and adds to the initial outlay.

Me neither, but trouble shooting does seem to be a problem, even with some long term WFP users.
The battery thing is still bugs me. Same van, same alternator, brand new fully charged battery - flat in 4 days, same as the first battery.

Yes it is puzzling. I've got quite a compact round and always have lights on, always have radio on loud as well. Not that much driving usually.
