Im trying to gather as much independant advice as possible as to which van mounted systems are the best value for money, but i am aslso willing to pay reliability.
Also the best poles on the market. Having subscribed to window cleaning magazine. The Gardiner SLX poles came out on top.......Is this the feeling out there on the ground.....??
I have also just had a Ionic magazine delivered, does anyone use the new Zero system??
Also all of their systems seem to be very expensive compared to other models....are they worth the money.
Does anyone use the heaters for their systems, 3 KW or 9 KW if so, are they worth the money??
Your input will be valued, as I dont fancy getting ripped off when these things cost thousands.

Would definately recommend the SLX poles. Worth the investment from the get go.
I think if you have never done traditional window cleaning then WFP with a van system is the way to go, provided this will be your full time job and not just a part time thing.

you could save your self a lot of money and do it DIY
All depends on the van size of course as too what you can install.

Purefreedom are now doing crash tested systems. I rang the other day and was told that.
Shame Grippamax don't offer a hot system, as I really like their set ups.

I somewhat doubt that. I've heard them say that before. Maybe they did crash test it, but if they would have gotten a mira certificate they would be all over it. Having a customer crash their van + system isn't exactly a crash test.
I'd be happy if I am wrong though.

I take it you use a donkey to get from a to b? Does the same thing as a car doesn't it?

I think we can learn a lot from that video, or indeed what is missing.
What I find very interesting is that they exactly cut out the video frames/pictures from the side of the vehicle, where you would see the system react to the impact/intrusion into cab area. These picture/frames are missing.
It looked like it destroyed the entire seating area. Compare that to the Grippamax test and there is zero intrusion.
I conclude that this that the system did not pass the Mira test and hence Purefreedom systems do not carry the crash tested certificate.

you should give purefreedom a ring and post what they say on here,
mira would not be happy would they, but surely they wouldent have falsified this clame that the cage was safe ???

Dazzler - Gardiners poles are the way to go. I have had a clx & slx aswell as many other poles and the slx trumps the lot. With i had got the slx when i first started.
System wise you have a few choices
1) Crash tested - to my knowledge there are only two crash tested systems. Ionics and Grippamax (this was Gardiners original system they had crash test certificated)
2) Fitted - by a supplier or yourself if you confident at drilling holes in the van floor
Ionics is expensive though i havent heard much bad things said agianst there systems bar the prices
Fitted - quite a few places do this, Pure freedom being the most common. I had a system fitted by The cleaning warehouse - they had a mechanic fit it all in for me.
If you fancy doing it yourself, its not hard. You can buy the parts needed (tank & frame) from suppliers and then drill holes through the floor yourself if your confident at doing this.
Fully fitted will set you back a chunk depending on your system. You could always buy the parts and get a garage to fit it if your not happy to do this yourself.
Buying a system you fit yourself (or get a garage to drill the holes) will save you money and you will learn alot more about your system incase anything goes wrong.

Pure freedom crash test looks very suspicious to me.

So my recommendation would be Pure2o

£2,574 seems a good price for a 400ltr crash tested system fully fitted but i think they only do an upright tank so not bad if you have got the money to spend.
As for the PureFreedom video very dodgy it should be removed from youtube as it looks to be edited and has some vital parts missing . Mike

Damage to the cab looks worse as the front doors have been removed. Doors are part of the safety cell structure, the reason why its so important that door locks and mechanisms keep their intergrity in an accident. Did they remove the engine and gearbox?
Truthfully, I'm not too sure what to think of this video. As has been commented on already, the fact that it hasn't been promoted by Purefreedom may indicate something. We may be drawing an incorrect conclusion though.
What I have thought looking at this that my tank is the wrong way round, my filler cap/lid is toward the front so my tank lid would blow on impact with the pressure of the water. However, i think I would rather have a surge of water from this lid hitting the bulkhead that a solid tank.
