Got one on the way might arrive tomorow. Just wondered how long you need to charge the battery up on first charge. If it comes early enough may be able to use for a job tomorow afternoon.

mate you should leave it to charge for four hours will be fine then it will last about two weeks depending on how you use it wish my main battery last as long

The batteries come fully charged as standard. It is recommended that for the first three full charges that the battery is over-charged to condition the battery.
When you first get the backpack although the LEDs will indicate it is fully charged you should put it on to charge and when all the LEDs are lit you will then need to charge for 3 hours extra. You can then use the backpack as standard. When the LEDs indicate that the battery needs a recharge for the next two times, recharge it fully and then for 3 hours after the LEDs indicate a full charge. After this you would simply need to charge when LEDs indicate a charge is needed.
For prolonged battery life and to avoid battery cell damage it is best to keep the battery charged as often as possible. Continuing to use the backpack after the LEDs indicate a charge is needed will also severely shorten the battery life.

Thanks for the detailed reply alex. As for the cheaper one that always happens you buy something and then you find out about one cheaper. But im sure il be happy with the gardiner one. Not sure if its the same anyhow.

Glad to help. We are the only UK distributors of this backpack. Whilst this backpack is advertised by a competitor it is nothing more than a marketing ploy that appeared within days of our backpack coming onto the market. Many of our clients have reported to us that when they have rung up to purchase it from this competitor it is surprisingly not in stock and they are directed to the supplier's standard model.
Even the boss of the competing firm himself admitted on another thread on this forum that "yes we have one or two available, I saw one the other day". In reality this is not a stock item for this firm and their calling it a 'budget' backpack is also a marketing attempt to distance it from their other products. We personally keep a stock of between 300-400 units in stock of these backpacks at any one time - therefore you can be assured of us being able to offer ongoing support and spares for these backpacks during the life of the backpack.
I also know for a fact that there are several differences between the one, maybe two, units they have and our production models.

Exact delivery rate will depend on the size of pole and length of pole hose you are using. It varies from about 1 - 1.7 lpm depending on the speed setting selected.

Good point these are sealed lead acid type batteries - I have amended my instructions above. I have just bought some new tools for the firm with Li-On batteries and in my mind they all became the same!

Alex, we bought a product from a manufacturer which happens to be the same product you bought from the same manufacturer. It is really that simple. No ploys, etc. I would point out that you don't actually 'make' that product as you do your poles, so you find other companies will also sell the same item. Whether through import, distribution, etc.
It is the same as us buying a product from Ettore to distribute and Wintecs buying the same product from Ettore, yet you don't see insidious comments on public forums from either company about a simple business practice.

the best place to get a backpack at decent price with cheap spares when needed

Actually neither of us was saying that either of the backpacks were better or worse than another.
I was commenting on the marketing that Stephen has employed on this model.

I ordered the Gardeners backpack from wcw to see if they really did have them in stock,
No, but they debited my account then phoned me 5 mins later to say not in stock and could supply there own pack.Fine I say and and happy with that,makes no difference to me will rarely get used anyway.
So no, not in stock or is it just me?
Not hear to slag of any supplier or any member,
not my style and not why I use this forum,
But after sitting at home on 3 seperate days losing money because of mistakes made,not by me,
then not recieving my 10% discount as compensation, >:(
Think I will stick to Gardeners,they respect there customers and are great to deal with.
Now,too much wine last night and my heids thumping,time to go to work :-\

Alex, we bought a product from a manufacturer which happens to be the same product you bought from the same manufacturer. It is really that simple. 3 days after we released the product on our website you suddenly listed the same item as coming soon with a stock photo from the manufacturer (yes I am aware that we do not make these items!). They were instantly listed as budget although I know from having spoken to various manufacturers including yours that the build price of these is not budget compared to other backpacks - your retail price is the only thing budget about them. When you got the items some weeks after originally listing you then changed the photo to represent the actual colour of the item you received. You also even had listed this item on your website, until just recently as 'exactly the same model as sold by Gardiner's'
Having spoken to the manufacturer about this in detail I know that you simply bought some samples. We are the only UK distributor of these products. These items have undergone a couple of upgrades since your samples purchase which your 'items' do not have. You recently were commenting on how most suppliers do not have real stock of items they were selling unlike yourselves - however with this item I would say that the foot is on the other shoe.
With regard to marketing ploy - is it a ploy to advertise a competitors product at a substantial discount and then when they are on the phone say that these are not currently in stock and then direct them to one of your standard items at the same lower price? This is exactly what users of this forum have reported as having happened and what clients have commented on to us when discussing their attempts to buy this item from your firm. I will leave the users of the forum to decide if this counts as a marketing ploy :)

I think you have already posted on this issue and the fault was with the courier as you identified. Not heard of the 10% compensation issue before - please email me fox@windowcleaningwarehouse.co.uk to recitfy this as best as possible. Even though the problem is 'technically' not our fault the couriers act on our behalf and we will try to make sure that customers are happy even if things go amiss, which unfortunately they do time to time. :-\

Alex, to reiterate - we bought the same product from the same manufacturer as you for stock, and have since sold them. We didn't get a large supply of them as they haven't proved that popular. As far as i'm aware we sold these backpacks before you had them? We certainly had them in stock before you.
We have since acquired a more suitable version for the marketplace which we now have available - we are also the exclusive distributors for this model.

The fault lies with you Stephen ,
I notified wcw on the morning of the first delivery date about the mistake the courier made with the address,and after phone calls to wcw it took 3 attempts at delivery.
I tried my best to help with the mistake made by somebody else and was told by wcw the courier had left a note on 2 occassions,which I stated was untrue but I was not believed,as the courier can't be wrong,right?
Mistakes happen,but no need for a manager to treat a customer as an annoyance/hassle to deal with instead of helping matters.

cheap Chinese crap I have about five broken ones in my garage all bought in the space off 18 months the last one I bought the switch broke in first day took it back got another one switch broke in four weeks he said to me I must have broke it myself . within two weeks off that he was selling backpacks with broken switches half price still didn't get a refund
