Hi guys,
I've just had my staff CRB checked,
Just out of interest, have many here been CRB'd and has it opened any more doors for you?
Cheers,
Dean.

My guys and me included have an advanced crb and/or pova1, i got some work from it. it is required at one of the places we clean, It looks very good on paper to large companies too Dean it helps to keep the door open longer.

We've been done for last 8 years.
Gets you into schools a bit easier.

a school i picked up paid for a crb check for me
What if you'd failed? Do you mean they re-imbursed you?
-
A school i do paid for mine i had a some spent convictions for daft things and was worried, I had cleaned at the school every 4 wks for about a year or so before i was asked to have a CRB done .
The office staff and head teacher were ok when mine came through and said some of the teachers were worse than mine , Think i am due to do another CRB next year so hopefully the spent convictions will be off then i will promote the fact that i have a CRB . MIKE

Spent convictions never come off your crb .

no they paid and arranged it all, i told them about everything they would find up front and they were ok about it
-
how do u go about getting one of these done? didn't think you could do them on your self it had to be done by someone else.
I have had one done for a job once employed job i mean.. never seen it though just gave random details.
-
does a crb need to be taken out by the people who employs you... ie if you clean a school the school does the crb . i didn't think you just got universal one ............... sorry if i got this wrong
-
Had a CRB check for when i worked at a psychiatric hospital and had an advanced one done for a secure unit i worked at.
Wouldnt mind getting one done now for my business as the hospital ones have expired.
Where do i go to get them done Dean ? ?

OH Bugger

The advanced crb can show any info the police have on you if the chief officer thinks it's relevant .
For instance if you were accused of something but never charged etc
-
ive got a criminal record etc nofing too bad been prison for driving offences etc would they say no if u have past convictions based on crb or just offences like noncing etc
-
i think it shows everthing
-
i think it shows everthing
it does depend on what they are asking for there are different types I would not be surprised richy it it shows them though
-
It will show the offences, no matter how small .
Wether affects you getting the job depends entirely on the person employing you, I would suggest though that most employers wouldn't be too worried about driving offences.
One of my friends was refused a very good job because tof something he was accused of a few years ago .
Very unfair .
