Title: Inside conny roof
Post by: robert mitchell on November 18, 2012, 07:46:57 pm
Any advice on best way to do this?

Ideally without step ladder as floor is quite slippery .

Tried easy shine but didn't find the finish that good to be honest .

you could try a wagtail on a pole, they do an angle piece that might help too.

As above, have done a few now with the wagtail, stand to the side and be careful of the drips you won't believe how dirty they get.

Usually ask customer to move as much stuff out before hand.

Should have said, I use a top section from an old pole with angle neck, the part that screws onto your brush is ideal for pushing into your mop and handle of a wagtail.. ;)

Never used a wagtail,  would using a normal mop and squeegee work just as well?

Have done trad on windows but thinking it won't be as easy on o roof .

Try putting a towel or a cloth down under the step ladder if no other option IMO you can't get a better clean that using step ladder as cleaning all whites and them awkward corners would be a nightmare using wagtail etc  :)

Mop and squeegy is the only way. On a sunny day you will need windows and doors open as it's warm work. You can charge a very good price for this type of job.  :)

Cheers guys,  think I will go with step ladder and just be careful .

Priced this up ages ago when I first started,  £20 bit cheap but a good customer so will take it on the chin.

I use a 0 degree squeegee on a pole for the insides, isnt so bad just gotta make sure your not directly underneath the drips and you cover as much as possible as those drips are minging  :-X

Dragonfly for just the glass.
PVC you need to be up there so steps is the only way to go.
Unless you get some plasterers stilts but they're £400odd...
