Hi.
I've installed 2 new vac motors in my extracta excel - 5" models, all wired up the vacs spin properly
but there isn't any actual vacuum or suction from the hose inlet.
All internal hoses are attached correctly.
Anybody have any suggestions?

Update.
If I turn on vac 1 and cover exhaust of vac 2, then there is suction through the tank as should be.
If I then turn on vac 2 keeping my hand over the solution hose intake there is proper suction, but when I remove my hand and let air through, there is a slight change in the sound of the 2 vacuum motors and then there is no suction.
Hope that makes sense to someone.
Solutions appreciated.

Lid / wastegate closed properly ? pic of the plumbing would be good ...

are the in series or parallel?
i bet in series and one of them is in the wrong way round ;)
or can you turn the on independently? so you know each one is working, if you are turning them on together but one is not actually working then they both will spin but the working vac is pulling air through the other making it look like it is working
but this is all guess work without pictures

They both work independantly with 2 switches so I know they are both working, but what you say does happen if I
just turn on 1 vac. The other spins as the motor that is switched on is drawing air through the other.
they can only go in 1 way so can not be in the wrong way.
Seems very strange that they both work with good suction if you start them whilst covering the solution
hose inlet, but when I uncover the intake something happens and it does not resume suction.

Perhaps disconnect the vac tube from the tank bottom , switch on the motors and see if the problem persists there , if not could be something like the ball cut off sticking , is the machine upside down when u test .

That's a good shout.
Machine is on its side at the moment. Will stand it up straight and try it out.

Thanks John.
That was the problem. Knew it would be something silly, but scratched my head for hours.
Turned it up proper way today and its working perfectly.
