Title: Victor Sprite 400 agitation
Post by: greg2040 on November 18, 2012, 12:34:27 pm
I am new to carpet cleaning and am looking for a machine for agitation. I am interested in a rotary although cant afford a new floormac or orbiter which seem to come highly recommended.

I have been looking at the victor sprite 400. The one I am looking at is a 15inch standard speed. Does anyone use these for agitation. Are they any good for domestics and are they too heavy or easy enough for 1 person to carry up stairs (im thinking about the weight due to my partner - she may do some jobs on her own).

Also would a sprite 400 then be useful if I got into commercial cleaning in the future?

Thanks

If you can't afford an Oreck and rotary go with the rotary. I find most carpets upstairs need a lot less agitation and a brush will do. Downstairs wheel in the rotary for bad carpets and trafic lanes. A 15" can be used on larger commercial jobs too for padding.

I have the Victor Sprite 400 standard spee ;Dd, got a refurbished one from A3 Machines in Shropshire for £220, I also have a Floormac, I use the Floormac generally, but for heavily soiled and e.o.t I use the Sprite, fairly easy to get up stairs, John's just a wimp ;D

Funnily enough I did a 3 bed house for a John Martin a couple of weeks ago, don't live any where near Stratford upon Avon do you John?
