3310i was a great phone, battery ent on for ever, and if all you want to do is recieve calls, then why not.

In my opinion all the smart phones have one major flaw - battery life. I've got an HTC Sensation - great personal phone, rubbish for commercial use.
So I use a Blackberry Curve for work: cheap (now), high quality, easy to use, reliable and a fantastic battery life. And they're not as 'nickable' as smartphones are.
Don't get a cheap phone - the audio quality is usually rubbish.
-
BlackBerry Bold .......cannot get on with any touch screen phones !!
I like it that BB comes with it's own email address and I find it very easy to monitor responses.
-
Just my own opinion.... but I find most smart phones are great at taking photos, sat nav, gaming etc. It seems to me where they fall down is being used as a phone due to poor call quality, dropouts and loosing connectivity where you have to restart them.
I've opted for the most simple phone a Nokia c2 which will give me tinternet, email and not the best phone calls. The best phone that I ever had was the Nokia 6230i which I would never throw away and completely bullet proof! I even still change to it sometimes and it connects to my car.
Gone are the days where you just had a VHS or Betamax and just a landline and people used to talk to each other ;D
-
plus dont you guys find these smart phones the signal just isnt great on them for some reason like some areas i go to i bearly get signal but with a old phone i get full signal poxy technology lol
-
Still miss my Nokia 3310 :'(
-
My daughter has Iphone 5 and is forever recharging it ............ when she speaks on it, she has it plugged in so it has basically become an old home landline again !!
-
lol

Mine has a power save button which makes it easier, but all it does is turn off all the extras you don't need, wi-fi, bluetooth, GPS,, apps running in the background etc. If you turn all that stuff off, you end up with just the phone in use, saves loads of power. I use the satnav on the phone so I also have a charger for the van.
-
Bought a good app on my S2 called Juice Defender makes a significant improvement to battery life.
-
I agree the iphone5 is great at everything but not as a phone.
Do they still sell non smart phones.

sorry i started a subject about mobile phones but we all have problems with our mobiles of some sort and being in business just need something to do the job
-
can't fault my smart phone/mini computer. lasts all day most days but when it doesn't i use an in car charger, couple of quid off ebay. signal great, call quality great, satnav awesome, calender for appointments, excellent free games (someone mentioned stickman diving, lol addictive) for when custy is late. memo pad, recorder for idea,s. bluetooth for my plantronics (amazing bit of kit) when driving. yes i look a nipple but with a clean liscence. all in all, would never be without it. can't wait to see whats about in 2 years when this contract is up, technology just keeps getting better and better.
oh forgot, sorry, samsung galaxy S3 on orange £36 a month with inlimited everything.
-
ye but the thing is all smart phones do that lol plus we spend more time in a property than a van so in car charger dont help a great deal lol

Mines the xperia s, with a non changeable battery! If you can change the battery you could always carry a second one fully charged just in case.
