Drive to Centre, Park, clean, then clean next shop, then next shop, then =next, leave 2 hours later with £80, before most window cleaners have gotten out of bed.

Do not drive for just 1 £5.00, that would be plain silly

Perfect thread for me to post this then. I clean a commercial premises in Trafford Park, they don't have their windows done and would be nice to recommends someone. Single storey office/warehouse, not massive, maybe ten double windows and a set of sliding doors. First person to send their name, website and number over to my email will be passed on to the director. Cheers lads

Gavlar, maybe your right.
Most guys who reply to theses posts are possibly one man bands who make a good living on private commercial and domestic work.
So to be told to do Gregs weekly for example at £4. and to do the insides before 7.30 am once a month for an extra £5. It is not viable to most. Then add this to the fact you have to wait 30 days for payment, it is just not appealing to  most.
I think Tabs, you and others make a good living from this sort of work, but its not for me.
Give me a compact round with a mix of private commercial and regular domestic, the choice of when I work and at what time I start. Finally not having to get my work signed off by some grumpy store manager.

All work is work, doesn't matter how I get the money.

National retail is a big part of the high st these days, if i couple it with my private commercial it all adds up to a tidy profit.

Pros
early morning work,  chance to earn a few bob before most windies get out of bed
wet work, can be done in all weathers
Chance to build up the high st, giving the chance to build up new areas.

cons,
tends to be low value, but with time your speeds will improve
need signatures, but the more the store trusts you, these can be collected later.

Last year, i saw hundreds of posts on here where windies couldn't get to work, due to snow, frost, rain, wind, In all that time we had every van out for 50 hours each a week, mostly on shop work,  never missed an beat.

I agree totally, where it can be run in alongside shops that I already do.
