I've decided to go after some of the 3 story new houses in my area.
I've got a Harris pole at the moment.
Will a 22ft pole do it? A clx 22 is what I'd like to get although if needed I could get a clx 27 but I don't want the extra weight and being from Yorkshire I'm tight as they come. ;D
-
Unless your 8ft tall mate no !
-
:D :D
-
I have a CLX 22 and for 3 stry work a 27 you'll struggle otherwise
-
I've got both poles mate and virtually no difference in weight between them - certainly not enough to complain about after a long day :)
get the superlite head and you're laughing
Clx27 services all of my domestic properties no problem
Bought a clx18 originally, good pole, but with hindsight wish I'd bought the 27 or 22
The 22 is a very good everyday pole tho - but a bit short for 3storey
Hope that helps a bit :)
-
how tall are you ;D
it may do, but might come up short on the occasional window, I just done the majority of my round with the clx 22 and it reached all the windows but only just on some, i.e, standing close to the building with the pole at full stretch above my head, with me getting soaked, so I bought the other section to make life easier with the 27, but I am only 5ft 6
by the way I am looking at the other answers and I am presuming by 3 storey you mean ground, first and second floor, no chance if you mean third floor as well
-
Yep ground, first and second. I'm 6'1
-
^^^^ I'm assuming this too ;D

27 will be fine - im 6' - you won't notice the weight difference, even as your regular everyday pole mate :)

Cheers Marko,
I'm a big strong lad so I'm sure weight won't be too much of an issue.
Think I'll go clx 27 better to be safe than sorry, nothing worse than turning up for a first clean without the right kit.
Think I'll go for the extreme medium mixed, cheaper then the super lite :D
-
Ever in lincs mate or near Newark you're welcome to have a look both the 22 & 27 - there really is no diff in my mind :)
-
Cheers Marko will do if I'm passing.
Think clx 27 is the future though ;D

agree, the 22 is too short for many three floors properties
-
Got a 25 slx that does all my ground, first and second work including second over a conny. The one job second over a conny is a little of a stretch but manageable, so a 27 would be fine.
I used to have a 27ft pole that i just used for the windows it was needed on and used the 18 for everything else
-
put your hand in ya pocket you tight git and buy yourself a 25ft SLX with carbon gooseneck and extreme brush!!you wont regret it mate!best every day pole out there! ;) ;D ;D ;D ;D
i use mine all day every day and reaches nearly all my work.any higher than 3 storey i use my SL40.
the CLX 27 will do the job but will be heavier and itll be whippy at full stretch.
-
I would if I was at it 5 days a week, like quite a few on here I've another job as well so I can't really justify an slx maybe if I end up full time i will. ;D

I too am on the hunt for some new poles. 2x27ft clx or 2x25ft slx or 2x26ft pheonix.
Ill prob go slx route as already have the 18 only prob is its for staff to use so not sure weather paying the extra of the slx over clx is justified.

Buy a clx 22 and the extra section from the clx 27 If I remember right the clx22 is shorter closed than a clx27. I think the clx is good value for the money.I have a slx 30 but find I work with my clx most of the time. The extra weight is not a issue and I am a old guy of 63.
-
SLX 30,Gardiners ideal maybe with a gooseneck
