BRODEX E-250 RO
Hi,Does anyone have any experience of this van mounted system please and was thinking of getting a couple of brodex poles to go with it as a starter system as i am trad only at the moment. :-\ :-\
-
Hi Sean
Got one without the RO as I fill the tank with tap water 80 - 90 TDS and purify on the way out.
Tank is very sturdy with brass fittings.
DI vessel is a good size.
Can run two pumps on one controller.
The see through hose water level indicator gets all mucked up inside and is a devil to clean out.
Just beware of Brodex customer service they were useless IMO.

And also be careful! Brodex are in liquidation

Buy all the bits and build your own mate it's simple
I bought a so called pro system and after a year
Of being fed up with it I took I a part and made it better
You will save a fortune for such an easy job
Is there no one round by you who could give you
Some pointers??
You a bit far from me mate in Cumbria
Buy a face lift of gardiner pole mate Brodex are to heavy

Thanks for the replies, interesting as i have been offered a 2nd hand system and if they are going into liquidation there may be problems, parts etc.
Colin where did you buy all your parts and what is your diy system like ? any photos?
-
I bought a second hand tank from the for sale section 500l
To replace my 250 and I re jigged the most of the other parts
From my old pro system to suit my van.
Due to new position of pumps, pipe work and and controllers
I have more room now in my van with a tanks twice the
Size than I did b4!
Ill have a dig for some pics
Cleaning warehouse do a DIY system that
You can put in your van. Very easy to do but I
Think you will need a few pointers if you havnt
Seen one b4
Cheers

Thanks Colin
When buying a tank,a frame will be a must is it?,this chap wants £1400 for system which is 6 months old, with 2 poles,4 brushes & 100m hose and reel, what do you think? .:-\
Thanks Sean
-
I don't think a frame is a must on a 500l or less
( I'm sure people will disagree ) as long as the tank is secured
Correctly and it is a sturdy tank it will be fine.
1400 sounds a lot to me mate cleaning warehouse
250l DIY but most of it is already done is about £650
If memory serves me correct.
Google them mate there in Wolverhampton
Good company to deal with mate

If you understand how a system works you should be ok building your own Sean. Do you want RO in the van or will you be producing it separately in a shed or garage for example?
Is there anybody local who could help you if you don't understand?
You need : Tank & tank outlet connecter reduced to 1/2'',
Pump, controller, leisure battery, 1/2''(12mm) hose to connect tank to pump then to hose reel. End stop for hose end, for connecting hose reel to pole. Reel and hose of course ;D. And a decent pole. Plenty of threads on here for pole advice (or controversy ;D ;D)
-
Once again thanks for replies,i think the way i want to go is have a van mounted system RO &DI so i can just pull my van into garage and fill up overnight and charge battery and be allready to go in morning.Suppose its a bit of a minefield setting off as you do not want to spend hard earned money on something that turns out not to be suitable in 12 months.

And also be careful! Brodex are in liquidation
Seriously???

Yeah, that's how I felt Sean, but I got some great advice from the fellas on this forum. Now I can't believe how simple it is!

Seriously???
Yes, this is a screenshot from companies house website:
That "Ideal Corporate Solutions" address is the address of the liquidator.
You can order the liquidation documents from companies house website for £1, I might do it just out of curiousity to see how much debt they were in.

Hi Nic
Yeh cheers for that, thats why i am not jumping in,i thought i would ask for advice first off the lads that use them day in day out.

Don`t for God sake buy there poles.
-
and a 250 litre tank will end up being too small for a days work once you get into the swing of it.
The three of use usually use about 400 litres each.
-
Cheers lads
Yes i have knocked this system on the head from the advice i have been given. :)
-
Hey Spruce,on average how many houses do you do with 400 Litres? not skimping
