as a few of you know iam considering selling my work
i have a quite a number of quality compact rounds cleaned six weekly
the work has been established 4years with new customers being added all the time
on the window cleaning rounds for sale monthly work seems to be being priced at 10x the value now
so what would you expect 6 weekly work to be priced at i was thinking 6x but maybe go for 7.5 x
do you think it would be best selling larger areas for example in great sutton i have 5 areas i clean sell each area seperately or sell the 5 areas as one whole
-
Most buyers would want to know the monthly take on it. If i sold 2k of work monthly id want 5 cleans for it 10k. I have never sold 6 weekly but is imagine most people would want to pay against the monthly take over a 6 weekly i know i would.
-
52 weeks divided by 6 = 8.66 x income lets say £8000 every 6 weeks = £69280 per annum / 12 = £5773 per month equivalent ...... so by your example of 10 cleans as a going rate £57733.

hi andy
im split at the minute what to do i going to post the rounds for sale and see if i get any serious offers at a price i would consider to be happy to walk away with.
im exploring the franchise route also just weighing up my options at minute the staff i had in mind dont have the readies to buy into it etc so just keeping my options open
-
hi richy the work you have must be worth a lot .you.ll walk away a wealthy man. well done
-
cheers mate it should be a lot more if i had staff that serviced it properly over the years reckon ive lost 3-400 due to crap standards
-
Ritchy I'd be open to
Rent around by ya mams end ???
-
problem is if you franchise it out you will still have to be involved in it as you become a service provider then to the franchisee

thats the thing dave i dont wana let it go cos its my baby haha but on other side i can set myself up with nice bit of money and new career that more secure and hopefully use the last four years as a life experience and maybe consider setting bk up again in life when im more settled coz it has knocked me for six the last couple of years

Man up , ;) get back in the mix ( cleaning wise )
Kick the staffs arses and reintegrate yourself into your customer base.
Cut the hours and increase the days £££.
Sit back at 5pm and say feck me the cleaning bits the easy bit.
Why am I stressing when my EMPLOYEES have it easy....
Dump the dross ,bad payers etc (ur other thread)
This is what I am just doing lol
Back on a van to cut there hours window wise and we are then leafletting & canvassing.

im actually happy at work at the moment carl dreading these winter months a little to be honest but part from that ive got some reliable window cleaners in now, ive brought bk one of the old lads 3 days a week and brought in a lad who used to fit fascias for me reliable and has past experience cleaning window traditional under the guidance of the old lad should do well. so got 3 lads at moment all doing the work exactly how i expect it to be done.
im just at a crossroads and im unsure wat i want to do

There isn't any career that is more secure than what you have now. And how long would £50k last?
-
I reckon £10 a client is a good rate nowadays Richie. You've got my number?
-
it averages out about 13 to be honest richard couple of the rounds are council estates tho
