Title: Pump box users
Post by: lee_dewing on November 10, 2012, 09:44:13 pm
Hi   anyone heard of these guys?

http://www.daqua.co.uk/pumps_controllers.htm

Having problems with my freedom trolley, got it going not great though :'(

Thinking of getting this pump box cheaper than a lot of the usual suspects,

How hard is it to make your own pump box?

Got a vyair pump has 3 wires red, black and extra red not connected to anything.

So thought disregard extra red wire; then red wire from pump, goes to positive (to/pump+, marking) on varistream, same for black pump wire to negative(to pump-marking) on varistream.

Next battery, connect positive to (+battery marking) varisream, do same for black negative wire on battery to varistream.

Am I missing something, as keep reading about pressure switch on pump, is there extra wiring i've not realised.

Thanks Lee

Same as Stu, used them for years with zero issues. First class supplier! ;) He was also responsible for bringing us Tulsion resin to UK.

I've had one of those albeit a few years ago from the same company and I've also absolutely no complaint with Daqua at all.

It did the job at a good price but what I ended up doing was sticking the flow controller on the outside of the box.

Thanks Guys.

Rosskesava: I  thought that too about varistream, suppose they think it's safer from being walloped on the inside ;D

When varistream was inside did you use outside on/off button was that ok?

Thanks Lee.
Ps. seen same thing with other suppliers, £299+vat+delivery on top :o (CRIMINAL!)

I bought the box originally to go on a trolley. I had a sack barrow with large rubber wheels and the water barrel went on top of the box so it made sense to put the varistream on the outside. The whole thing was really to big and bulky as I had a di attached as well. I've still got the whole thing in the garage covered in cobwebs.

The outside on/off switch was fine and their was never a problem with knocking it etc.

Just another happy Daqua customer here. I've actually ordered the pump and controller that are in the pumpbox as I've used them before. They're a good combination. Ordered them on Saturday from Daqua and they're coming tomorrow - just the excellent sort of service I've come to expect from them! Recommended.
