I've a Pure Freedom unit inthe van and on maintenance cleans run the flow at 42/44. On first cleans 60/70.
What do you guys use, and do you find that you get a stronger flow for the first couple of houses just after charging your (leisure) battery before it slows down a bit?
-
I use 45 for everything mate only with a pole tap tho
Flow should stay the same all day if the battery's good
-
same 45 with a pole tap but i need a new battery when there is two of us it does struggle
-
21 to 23 depending on temperture ... maybe 28 on 1st cleans
-
26 on repeat cleans just as quick as 42 and a lot less water.
-
Yep, I used to use 25 but found I was much quicker on 42. I can get 18 (maintenance cleans) 3-bed semis out of 500 litres fairly comfortably. I'd rather do that and be home by 3.30 or 4 :)
-
I use 25 for normal cleans and maybe 40 for first cleans works well for me
-
I use 12 on normal cleans and 20 max on first cleans ?

Be careful or you will re-invent spotting.

Genuine question
I'm happy with my flow rate at about 32
But it's calibrated at 26?
Is 26 the correct flow for my system then?
Or doesn't it really matter?
Cheers all :)

So the auto calibration is a guide?
I find a slightly higher flow is better for me

depends what flow controller your using?
I use a hydraflow (goes up to 99) I use it on 45 for regular cleans and 60 on first.
-
i have mine on 60 all the time.any less and its seems that its just trickling out of the jets!! ;D ;D
i use a pure freedom controller and 100m of microbore.

Full blast; very little requirement for rinsing! No controller, and the brush almost glides over the glass.
It's class.
-
Tosh,
Do you need to rinse at all when running at full blast?
If not it would reduce a lot of strain on the back.
John.

The Auto Cal should be the correct setting for your system, as here run the hose out and use the longest pole. The controller will auto adjust the flow to maintain pressure Each set up is different so you will see different settings for both calibration and flow on each system. Also individual preference comes in as some like the pump running at full and some like a lower flow.

Normally 2.
On an analogue flow controller from Gardiners that goes up to 10. No idea what 2 is but seems enough.
