Title: Lost a few this week!!
Post by: Klean07 on November 09, 2012, 03:33:07 pm
I seem to be losing more customers than ever due to the reccession. I've lost 3 £15 ones this week but luckily I gained 2 more back!! I've also dumped a few this month. Just fed up of their lame  excuses all the time!!
Anyone else lost or dumped any this week?

Yep. Two have managed to sell their houses, so no more cleans required. One more was up front and said they couldn't afford a wc anymore.
I have dropped three due to bad payers and two more which I am meant to clean every six weeks, both large houses with serious security, so they have to be in to open gates etc, but both customers have forgotten the six week cycle and think they can ring for a clean every ten or twelve weeks for the same price?
On the other side, got two new customers at normal domestic rates plus a small block of flats £150 every two months. Swings and roundabouts.

Hi Klean
Lost two but only sorry I didn't dump them first had my doubts last time when they were texting about windows being wet and being cleaned in the rain and general moaning.
Picked up a dentist's nice big house while I was out there - worth double the two I lost so even stevens thankfully!!!!
 ;D
Really good customer just sold up last clean just done. ???
Gonna have to canvass I've dropped several messers, long distance never in collects but I figure they are costing me more in the long run.

And got the good news about the 326 new flats ;D

Well done. I've only recently started dumping awkward customers but hey it feels good knowing that I don't have to put up with their excuses anymore etc.

Yes I am loosing custies too. Most have been honest and are saying they are going to do it themselves to save money.
It's never happened on this scale before, will just need to see how it goes for a while before renting my body out.

see how it goes for a while before renting my body out.

Those five pence pieces can build up to a tidy sum over time.

My wife rented her body out for a night.  She came back with £100.50.  I asked who gave her 50p, and she said "all of them"

Hold your head up high still. Its month before xmas and some customers need to hold back on there spending and get into financial difficulty so first to go is us. I have had about 20 say they will have to stop using me this month, i said to all of them that i can continue them In february as i wont be doing much over the next few months and every one of them were fine with it. Its obvious to me it was money issues for there concerns.
I always do all i can from letting a customer cancal on me unless its for a poope job on our part or they are messers.

i dont understand mick?what do you mean you wont be doing much until feb? ??? ???

i clean as normal all year round.the only time i have time off is a week at xmas and when the weather is REALLY extreme(eg a foot of snow!) ;D ;D ;D

i normally finish at 330pm-4pm all year round so the dark evenings dont have an effect really.i work in rain, sleet, snow unless its really heavy.if i get behind i work on a saturday.

ive lost a few lately due to them dying but ive also picked a few up including a £60 fascia clean so im not losing out.

Ian how you getting on with the canvassing mate???

Being totally honest it didnt go too well and guessing its cos its winter ??

Ended up with 9 new customers all together but only canvassed areas I already worked in so getting really compact nowadays.

Switched over to just leafleting for rest of year as can cover more in 1 day and hopefully will get lots of calls in the spring.

Every Saturday I will deliver 200 leaflets after a little collecting and any empty mid week days I drop a minimum of 500 leaflets.

i dont think you get what i mean daz, i clean and work all the hours i can and
I dont stop untill feb at all, just it makes it easier telling the customers that to keep them on the books who shy away at xmas time with money probs etc.
It works for me this way.
