Sweat?
I've got Brashers and they haven't leaked yet. Take them back if they do.

if you buy the bergaus explorer goretex boots their comfy from day one.keep your feet mega dry and are very lightweight.a pair normally last me around 18 months worn every day for work.money well spent IMO.

ive never had a pair of brashers so i cant comment.

I always used them but the leather split on the uppers and so did the soles. Most comfy boots I ever used and normally you can pick them up for around £75. Went through four pairs over the years.

I bought some Karrimor casual snow boots from www.sportsdirect.com  they are brown leather with a faux fur lining and fully waterproof the have a weatherlite membrane which makes them waterproof and breathable had boots for a week and find them good boots and very comfortable ,  £29:99  usually £70:00 .  Mike

Gortex is a waterproof membrane but that doesn't mean
It won't leak..... You could have a duff pair but in extreme
Conditions Gortex isn't the best, nowt is totally waterproof
And breathable, if its totally water tight you will sweat and become soaked
That way. Best to buy good leather Altberg boots , rub plenty
Of  ledger Gris and wear sealskinz duty socks.
Will keep you dry and comfy.
One downside of Gortex is that it's very slow to dry out
When soaked, simple leather altbergs and duty socks is the way
To go.
Trust me
