all my work is done on a 4 weekly basis ,im finishing for xmas on 22nd december and will go back on 3rd january , so that means if i clean mrs jones on 23rd 24th etc she will muss her next clean and i wont see her till jan 23rd , so what happens there i got so much work i couldnt possibly fit everyone in the first week back so lots of my custys will miss a clean , i was thinkung of printing off a flyer stateing time off etc but i feel this may be a bit cheeky ,{ like saying if you are giving me a xmas tip you better give it now cos you wont see me again this year } when really all i want to do is let em know whats happening , i mean for example mrs jones pays all year round to make sure windows are kept clean and yet when xmas eve comes round she has gone 4 weeks without and all the family are due over , but it will be 4 more weeks till im back , sorry to go on gang but its my first xmas and these things need adressing in my opinion , also the last thing i want is to look like im touting for a xmas tip that would really embares me , my custys are loyal to me all year and pay me a good price so i dont really want or expect a tip sorry my last clean off mrs jones would be NOVEMBER 23rd meaning none on december 23rd cos im finished , hope this all makes sence ???

sorry i haven't read the above post in depth ( it's a little deep )
all you need to do is move your schedule along 2 weeks so those who were due on the 24th Dec will
move to the 7th Jan theat way no-one misses a clean and they are either 6 or 10 wks to the next clean
then it returns to 4 and 8 - same if you take a summer hol

Just pause the work and start again when your back working
If someone wants a clean before xmas they will let you know

some custys ask if will be around before xmas and i will try and fit them in if possible . I will be working between xmas and new year anyway so not to bad for me . Mike

Complicating things a little, stop when you wanna stop...start back where you left off.

simply cram as much work in between now and the 22nd december and whatever doesnt get cleaned.start back where you left off on the 3rd january!
dont expect xmas tips but if you do get any keep the money to one side and treat yourself and your family over the xmas period!RELAX AND ENJOY YOURSELF!!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

oh and i find i still get tips in january from some customers i couldnt get round to in december.i usually get £500+ in tips but i dont bank on it.
i simply say to customers ill try and fit you in before xmas if possible.

First 2 weeks of dec as normal for me. Then go like a nutter and cram it all in within the 3rd week. We operate monthly so lots to do in that 3rd week. Never had so little working days to finish before the Xmas break before though.
If I was you, I'd do as the rest have said. Do t skip any any it's lost revenue. Try and catch up little by little.

My staff seem to develop deeply religious tendancies around xmas and easter times and also become very royalist/patriotic when royal weddings are happening so time off is a must.
You do get a bit of that when employing though.

my lads said over the royal wedding they would like the day off on another day if possible, quite dissapointed when i said they may have it off but not neccercaly (spelling) get paid, i was dissapointed when i checked the contract and they did get paid ::) ::)
