Title: What is going on!! pesky pumps
Post by: Jack Judd on November 03, 2012, 06:06:57 pm
Just a quick one.  I have a pump, it works and then stops.  I change the pump with my spare, it works it stops.  I then replace it back with the original, it works, it stops.  I replace it with the spare it works it stops.   What is going on.  Do I need to buy a thrid pump or is their dark magic at work.  Has anyone had similar problems, how long do pumps generally work for.  To they start and stop and how can i stop this issue as I leave home all in order and arrive at a customer and then bugger me it is not working.  Any advice welcome

first thing is cold weather equals cold water which is harder to pump so you need to adjust the Cal on your digital controller otherwise it wont pump and will go into DE .

Second is your battery is it charging or not . Mike

I reckon it seems like the battery too. A bit more info though : how olds your batt and how good is your charger?
I ask about the charger as mine blew an internal fuse so sent it back to Ring as it was just out of warranty ( they were fantastic, replaced it), so I stuck my Halfords one on the batt and only did half a days work and pump stopped! Batt was flat as a French crepe  ;D. Soooo,  just check that your charger is doing a proper job.
Got my charger back and all was well with the world.

Sounds like another flow controller messing you about.  Bin it till the manufacturers make ones that work.

I'll add my name to T.A.F.

Waste of money and when they go wrong, an endless source of random problems. After I removed mine, I smashed it to bits with a club hammer.

I'm also a member of H.O.P.

Hose outside pole.

And N.A.N.J.K.H. (nanjik)

No aquadapter needed just kink hose.
