Title: No water supply - twice in two weeks
Post by: david@zap-clean on November 02, 2012, 04:11:52 pm
For the second time in 2 weeks I've had to cancel a days work because of 'emergency' water supply repairs in the street!  Is this a common issue for you?

No, I fill the TM tanks and I'm away to go for the day :)

Never happened like that.
But I have been to jobs in communal areas of flats.
Electricity but no water that's why I have three 25
litre water containers.
In your situation would have gone home and filled them.

Carry a couple of 25ltr drums of water with you. I part fill my unit with water before leaving home and carry extra should i need it. Can't remember the last time i had to use a clients water. Have however had many clients who've commented on "the last person used all our hot water >:(".

Well I've just bought Grants Minitex Jim..........so nearly there ::)

Apart from time saving, to arrive already armed with "on-board" water looks so much more professional than sticking a bucket under the clients tap. When they ask "what do you need?" and your answer is (with a smile on your face) "for you to go and sit down and leave me to it, oh and a nice cup of tea please" they sort of join in the fun and admire your tools :P

I'm the same just take hot water with me, containers are cheap enough http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l2736&_nkw=25+litre+containers (http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l2736&_nkw=25+litre+containers) Worth getting some logo stickers made up for the side panels too.
