slipped off a roof last tuesday, 1 of my few traditional houses, and sods law the last window of the day, been at it ten years and my 1st slip up! its certainly made me think about my job, doing gutters etc, looking at investing in a gutter vac!?! pretty norty wound, lucky i just missed tendons etc

Bad luck mate. Can't see the pic but treat the fall as a warning and realise you are lucky not to have a more serious result.

Sorry to hear about your fall, i had slipped off a portch roof a few years back (trad)
one minite i was cleaning away, then before i could blink, i was on the concrete below , took all the
guttering with me on way down, i landed backwards with my hands stopping me from braking my back on
a steep step, could have easily ended up in a wheelchair, :(
ive done it again on another house since, but managed to grab the window ledge.. not got that worry
now on wfp. here's a pick of the first fall that i took with phone on the next clean i done on the house. jp

I had a fall 3 months ago and still getting head aches at least 4/5 times a week.Hit head on the back of my scull.Ended up in A&E for the day. They would not let me go home till my head was right at the end of the day I just said its fine to go home.

If i was trad i would not be going on that porch roof as if they get slightly wet they will be slippy you can tell from pic and those type of tiles break easily .
And if you had the suction type safety feet on your ladder and some ladder mitts fitted i dont see why you could'nt clean of ladder by placing ladder over porch roof and onto window sill as normal . Mike
