Two weeks ago I washed a front door of a house by mistake.The owner after me apologizing for the inconvenience the man persisted to be rude and wanted compensation. He said he will report me to the council so they can take away licence for mistakenly cleaning his front door. ( I work in the U K)
I have go a few new customers in his street and every time I clean he comes a pesters me and my customer after i leave. I now have a few cancel there clean .He seams to think I have not right to work
in his area and treats me like I am crap.

Assuming you are foreign?
I'd report him for harassment if he was costing me business. If he's threatning to 'report you' for mistakenly cleaning his front door, politely tell him to put up or shut up.

ignore him and keep cleaning,record everything even in a diary would do, and report him for racial harassment (I take he is implying you are foreign and have no right to work) if I have that bit wrong just report for harassment

you cleaned his door by mistake :) most people would have been pleased, the guy sounds like a right
arse hole ,and no he is not being fair on you.
just smile and walk away is the sensible thing to do ;)
or if your like me i would ram a superlite up his butt ;D

in. tell him you have as much right to be on his street than him.
dont let him stop you working get him told to stop bugging you.

I despise people like that (assuming you are foreign).
You should report him to the police so it is on record.
It sounds like you can deal with him but he is causing some of your customers to cancel - which is bang out of order.
Unfortunately some people only understand once violence is used on them, but you can't do this without kissing that local work goodbye.
That only leaves the police.
Please, if you are foreign go to the police. Not only for your benefit but for the benefit of all the foreigners who will follow in your path.
I'm gonna feel a bit silly if you aren't foreign. :)

Keep on cleaning his front door, it seems to annoy him ;D I would go out of my way and do it on a daily basis, sometime 4 am sometimes 9pm and whenever I am passing

haha, i just called you a clever man on another post hydro. Although a joke, if he is foreign the last thing he wants to do is to upset anyone. Unlike many of us who view people like this as a challenge that makes us want to rise up to.

I lived in South Africa but born in the U K. The fellow is Indian and I am white but he has some chip on this shoulder. I don`t want to be aggressive or rude as I try to be polite at all times in my business dealings. If I was in S A this fellow would have bee floored a long time ago.AS you can retaliate if people are rude AND TRY TO GET YOU IN A CORNER. THAT IS WHY THERE IS VERY LITTLE BULLING. But I am here now and just want to go about my work. By the way I am European he is from India or Uganda.Some folk think all South Africans racist and want to settle it with you.

well the proper thing to do would be just ignore him and continue offering your custys the best service you can.
however I would be more inclined to clean his front door again ;D ;D let him come out and moan then tell him to pi ss off and leave your custards alone!! Then shove the superlite up his a hole ;)

basically if i were you, if he comes out again i would just say in my best calm psycho manner "listen pal your really doing my head in now id advise you to turn around and get back in your house".if he keeps pestering you just squirt him with your pure water from your brush and laugh very loudly!!
trust me he wont bother you again then! :D :D ;D ;D ;D

next time call his bluff, take along a number for the council/ police and any other authority you can think of, when he starts stay calm and polite hand him the sheet and say go ahead phone them, I am above board and entirely legal to work here, now if you don't mind I have work to do good day sir,
