hi is there anyone out there that can help me am starting my own cleanind company which involves me cleaning offices and houses but am not sure on how much to charge for the jobs can anyone give me any advice please i would be truely gratefull thanks :) :)

How can anyone give you advice on prices when you have not given your location in your profile. I could help you out but you might be operating in my catchment area and oh boy I'm not going to give you advise if that were the case.

Hi ,
A Rough idea what we charge Office cleaning £9 per hour per person and we supply the cleaning products.
Domestic £10 per hour per person we supply cleaning products.
It is very hard to find staff to clean offices regular, It took us about 4 years to get a good team.
Office cleaning is very competative some companys in my area charge £6.95 per hour.

Dont no how you can charge those prices and make a living, if your putting the money in your back pockett snd doing it your self for s few quid then ok.
people will pay for a good service and standard of clean,
my prices are arround £14.50 to £15.50 per hour + VAT
I supply all the quality cleaning products. this price includes commercial rate.
don't think you have to be cheaper than your compettitors to get the work, THOSE JOBS YOU CAN DO WITH OUT.

We struggle to break the £10 per hour bracket on domestic cleaning. I think we do a good job people just dont want to pay any more in west yorkshire.
As for offices £9 per hour is over priced by up to £2 pound per hour compaired to my competitors
Its the realy big companys with 100 staff that price less than £7 per hour but when they get their foot in the door they sell all the other services to make the price up.

so how much should i charge 4 a 2 storey medium size office block with 6 toilets in total it would take about 2 people 2 hrs each floor?

I would suggest £30:00 - £37:50 a clean

Yes i would agree with around £37.00 per clean
After you have got your foot in the door try to sell them toilet rolls and air freshners, bin bags etc you can make a good profit on them.

I try and sell on a session price basis, we go and see the client and do an itineary and price accordingly.
That way the cleaning team can be in and out as quickly as they want as long as the job is done to a high standard.
Our prices start from £30 per clean - we have some clients in nice houses that pay £100 per clean and these are weekly. They told me we where not the cheapest but the most proffesional, this meant they fely very satisfied they would get what they paid for. I am always available to them when they need me, my staff are smart in nice vehicles and we use the latest vacs and cleaning methods.
I would rather get 1 client who paid me £100 for a clean that 5 that paid me £20.
You have to price at what you feel comfertable at but never undersell yourself. I am in a good position and I earn £120 per hour quoting and dealing with clients and staff because thats how much I have chosen to earn and aimed to achieve and have. Who wants to earn £9 phr not me!!!!
For all the clients who say I am to expensive I politely give them the number of a competitor I dont want them!

On avarage we would say 5 hours cleaning on the first clean we would charge extra to bottom the house if it is realy dirty
