Title: 60 foot pole
Post by: P @ F on October 28, 2012, 07:47:44 pm
OTT pole , have come across one in a deal i did for other items , i dont really need it but it came as a job lot , thing is i would like to sell it but dont know how to best describe it as have never really been a user of them  , when i say its 60 foot its not in stone as i put it next to my Facelift 42 , working height of 45 as i was told when i got it , the OTT was at least 15 foot longer , so as you can see im a bit in the dark with it !
I dont even know if its GF /HYBRID / FULL CARBON .....

Please if anybody can give me a few pointers as to what i have it would be greatly appreciated as it has to go rapid , its in my way !!!

If that's the case then he'll probably have to pay someone to dispose of it!!

OK just had the old man out against his wishes getting the lowdown on the pole .....
It has 6 sections , closed length is 13 foot  :o
The base section is 6 foot and bright yellow , the rest are  black  but the top section is shorter than the rest .......

Any offers or info ?

This has to go , you wont offend to a point of course !

I had one and it was very unsafe to use,the length is approx 60 feet working height and the base section is about 6 feet and is yellow and the rest are about 10 feet black sections,it's impossible to extend to full lenght and use unless you are 12 feet tall, the black sections are quite rigid to some extent,I reckon it's a bit of both Glass fibre and Carbon fibre and the pole is ever so heavy to use, an accident waiting to happen, personally I would feel guilty asking for money as I gave mine away free but even then I felt guilty.
I don't think companys should manufacture poles of the ridiculas closed size and weight, even Popeye would have trouble using that beast,I know I did and the poor bloke I gave it to,I struggled with it and he even struggles putting it on his van :o

I could be interested for the right price any idea of postage price?

Why does it matter how tall you are I hear you ask..............I would like to see you extend it to full lenght and try to use it,it ain't no Gardiner Pole you can just fully extend on the ground and lift up especially when the pole lenghts are so long and heavy as I know and have used one, only way is to use a platform.

when they first came out I believe they are two man jobs extend out the way, jam into bottom of building and walk the pole up, get it into position, and then one man clean and other deals with hose, then swap around because of weight

I used the 40 foot one and that is bad enough on my own

I know, what I mean is you extend it on the ground then starting at the brush end walk down the pole lifting into position, that is why it needs two men, strong ones at that ;D

Yeah and that's why I say it would'nt be a problem if the sole operator was 12 feet tall but some people obviously just don't get it,glad you are on the ball though.
