I used showa 377 gloves last winter, 100% waterproof and one pair lasted all winter - think I paid about £5 on eBay.
Put them on yesterday morning as it was a cold one

I've been using gloves like the bottom ones for a few years now, Showa make them, they don't make your hands stink like the 377's, plus the are warmer, the back of the glove isn't waterproof, but thermal, but your hands don't really get wet using WFP, so it's not really an issue

My hands don't stink ???

i bought the joka polars last week after hearing them mentioned so much. my advice would be not to bother. they are far to big. you cant do anything with them other than hold the pole. if you wanna change your flow rate, get your keys out your pocket, give a customer a card etc you have to take the bloody things off. in my opinion the only thing theyre useful for is if youre doing a really big job. if youre doing a new property every 30 mins then its not worth it.
i have however tried on my parents diving gloves and theyre great! completely waterproof and not too thick (im not talking about the crappy seal skins). you can get them from decathlon and you can dunk them in a bucket looking for your blade no problem, and you can actually wear them for trad etc
-
are they warm though???

Joka Polars are great... They are big, but very warm... You have to wear them in a bit and then they are fine.

the decathlon diving ones were warm yeah. obviously you can get warmer ones but for me, theyre the right balance between keeping warming and still being able to pick my nose!

Got some showa 377 great waterproof gloves , just ordered some thermal silk glove liners earlier for £6:00 but went to sports direct after and they have some nylin karrimor glove liners for £3:00 so should have nice and warm hands as hands were frozen working in snow today.,Mike
