Hi Slumpy dog

I do not have an SL Extension in front of me to get the ID, but I do know that it would not fit on to an SLX section as it is a taper section. You would not unfortunately be able to use them to extend the SLX poles. Trying to combine telescopic sections with the tapered SL section will not work and they would simply break at the joint.

What you can do to extend the SLX35 (7 sections) is to use extra section from the Super-Max range. This will allow you to add another 3 sections (8, 9 & 10) in total - http://www.gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/acatalog/sl-x25-35-super-max40-47-replacement-sections.html

Thanks Alex for your prompt return with an answer. The reason I asked was I want to use the sl pole for my gutter vac and then hoping to use them to extent my SLX.I will go the root  at some point extend to super max sections.( when I get some cash spare.)

Really you can only use the base sections for a guttervac. They work well but it's an expensive way of doing it these days. Three sectioins would cover most residentials. I think the Grippatank people use the same but have cheaper fibreglass versions available..

Mark thanks for the imfo but I cannot find the fiber glass vac poles on Grippa tank web site. I must say its the most un- user- friendly web site I have ever used. There web lets them down badly.

It turns it into a Supermax47 which has about a 50ft reach.
