Title: Unger gloves for the winter?
Post by: Jakey boy on October 25, 2012, 08:08:43 pm
Anyone use them? Winters on its way and the cold hands are gonna start to bite!

I'm traditional, and nothing worse than those winter days with cold wet hands!

Are they any good?

If you're on about the neoprene diving style gloves they're crap, tear very easily and don't keep your hand warm when in contact with cold water

Yeah I saw those neoprene gloves, thought the may be a help, I usually just suffer through it, and occasionally wear normal gloves when it's freezing, think ill give them a miss then!

That's 'cause your hard as nails Gav. I used them for a couple of years because I didn't know what else to try.

I've found using disposable latex gloves under some lightweight cycling gloves keep my hands both warm and dry.

I use these:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B005CVCDEI/ref=asc_df_B005CVCDEI10292565?smid=A3P01X9KQVX701&tag=googlecouk06-21&linkCode=asn&creative=22218&creativeASIN=B005CVCDEI

The only gloves that work without being too numb.

If I was just trad I would get sealskins cycling gloves, just bought some in halfords bargain bin for £25 a tenner off. For cycling but used them this morning on my shops first thing, would'nt use them wfp though as it wears them too quickly and the stitching can nip in the clamps etc. but trad reckon they are excellent.
