Title: Pole hose leaking due to hot wash.
Post by: richard jagger on October 24, 2012, 04:45:40 pm
How did the guys using a hot wash stop the push fit pole hose  fitting coming off and leaking. gardeners has a fitting in the slx at the top to fit a quick release goose neck as well as the push fit pole tap(valve)I was thinking of getting a PVC insert but for a 6 mm tube might be a bit small. IS THERE ANOTHER TRICK I HAVE MISSED?

If it's Gardiners hose you'll probably need barbed inserts. Gardiners sell them.

Barbed inserts or Tube Strengthening Inserts should do the trick.

You'll need one for the brush side, another for the pole side, another for the push fit valve pole side and another for the reel side.
Alternatively, bin the lot and buy some pole hose from Sureclean  ;)

Interestingly, Aquadapter hose is the perfect fit...... but unusable for me.

Hi Slumpy dog

This cost is for Fedex insured next day delivery. If you would prefer uninsured Royal Mail, then please telephone the Office first thing in the morning and they will change this for you.
